Certifications
Most GIS credentials test whether you can answer questions about the work. These test whether you can do it: every Kharita certificate records a timed, graded sitting — the score in each section of the exam — and says so on a page anyone can open. A certification is the credential; the assessment is the exam that issues it.
How this sits alongside the established credentials
It does not replace them. GISP (GIS Certification Institute) certifies a career — portfolio, experience and a written exam — and is the long-horizon credential for an established professional. Esri Technical Certification certifies proficiency with Esri software across foundation, associate, professional and specialty levels.
Kharita certifies something narrower and more checkable: that on a given date, this person produced correct, graded output under time and without hints, on problems written for the exam and never set in practice. That is a useful thing to be able to show at the start of a career, when there is no portfolio yet.

Verifying a credential
Anyone can check a Kharita credential without an account.
- 1.Take the code from the candidate’s CV or profile — it looks like
KC-PG-XXXX-XXXX. - 2.Open kharita/verify and enter it.
- 3.The page shows the holder, the issue and expiry dates, the overall score and the score in each section, the per-track tiers the credential attests to, and whether it has been revoked.
